April 27th (10 weeks 3 days)

After we got home from our Easter activities we let the rest of the world know that we are expecting. The amount of love that we felt was overwhelming! I think some were surprised, but all were very happy for us! While it was nice for it to be our secret for a while, it sure feels great to know that all of our family and friends know! I know Leto wanted to tell everyone the day we found out, so he is really relieved to have everyone know!

I have been feeling like poop for over a month now. I have constant nausea and am tired all the time! I had to take 2 naps yesterday! Luckily I havent thrown up that much. I only threw up before we knew that I was pregnant, and I thought (and still think) it was a stomach bug that Leto gave me. Sometimes I get a little urge to vomit but I end up sneezing instead... very strange!!! Has anyone else experienced this??? Because of the nausea I haven't wanted to eat anything, and I haven't had any cravings for anything yet. There is stuff that I definitely dont want to eat, like green olives. Before we found out that I was prego I would eat a bunch of green olives everyday, but now the thought of eating them repulses me! I did have a 1 craving for a Wendy's Frosty the other day, so if anyone wants to overnight me one in dry ice that would be amazing :-)

We are PREGNANT! (April 24th 10 weeks)

Happy Easter!
Today we told everyone that we are pregnant! On March 31st I took a home pregnancy test and we found out that we will be expecting our first child in November. We decided to keep it to ourselves for a few weeks and thought that Easter would be the perfect time to tell our families. We had our first doctor's appointment on April 18th (we will be looking for a different doctor, one who speaks English...) and we had our first ultra-sound on April 19th. The baby was 2.5cm long and its heartbeat was 165 bpm. We told Leto's family at Easter lunch. Everyone was super excited and surprised. We wrapped our ultra-sound picture and had our nephew Dani open it. He didn't really know what it was so Leto told him to ask his grandparents. It was a very special and happy moment!
Sadly I had to tell my family via Skype. I wish it could have been in person or at Olive Garden like my sister and Rol did when they told me they were pregnant both times. I had Patrick call everyone into the room and then I told him to tell his parents they should go to Olive Garden for lunch. Then we showed the ultra-sound. Everyone was excited. I really wanted to talk to all of my family individually but we didnt have the time.
It was a very special day for us, one we will remember forever!
